Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to assist with administration of resident medications under physician orders and nurse supervision.

The role requires strict adherence to nursing standards, community policies, and state requirements to ensure resident safety and accurate documentation. The CMA will maintain medication carts and rooms in a clean, organized state, verify proper labeling and dating, and promptly report any refusals or adverse reactions to the RCC/Nurse

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA certification in good standing with the state.
• Experience in long-term care or residential settings is preferred.
• Ability to document accurately and comply with charting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered by the physician, under supervision.
• Follow nursing standards and community policies in all duties.
• Maintain a clean, organized medication cart and room.
• Document medication administration accurately and report discrepancies or refusals.
• Observe residents for adverse reactions and notify the RCC/Nurse Supervisor as needed.
• Ensure medications are properly labeled, stored, and within dating requirements.
