Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. seeks a Certified Medication Aide to assist with administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under nurse supervision and the Director of Nursing Services.

The role requires adherence to facility policies, care standards, and state requirements. You will perform duties within the nursing department, ensure accuracy in medication documentation, maintain privacy, and participate in inspections.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CMA certification in good standing with the State.
• Must have a valid CPR certification.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours and on weekends/holidays when necessary.
• Must assist in evacuation of residents during emergencies.
• Must perform essential position functions with or without accommodation.
• Must meet general health requirements per state regulations and policy.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered by the physician, under supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and family information.
• Document medication administration accurately and promptly.
• Keep medication cart and room clean and organized.
• Ensure medications are properly labeled and stored per policy.
• Assist in inventory, disposal, and update of medications as directed.
