Job summary

Distinctive Living is hiring a Certified Medication Aide (Full-Time or Part-Time) to provide medication management and ADL support to residents. You will work under the Director of Health and Wellness to ensure safe, compliant care in a community setting.

Responsibilities include following service plans, documenting tasks, communicating with medical professionals and families, and participating in meal service. State HHA/CNA licensing and supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of caregiving experience.
• State HHA Certification or CNA license.
• Six months supervisory experience in a health-related field.
• Able to read physician orders and match them to Medication Administration Records.
• Knowledge of medical terminology to pass medications and communicate with professionals.

Responsibilities

• Follow resident service plans and pass medications per physician orders and MAR.
• Document daily task completion.
• Note changes in resident condition per local rules and policies.
• Communicate resident needs with other Medication Aides for consistent care.
• Assist in meal service and dining room duties.
• Supervise staff during shifts.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing in-service trainings.
• Follow CQI program and report quality issues to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines.
• Assist with safety and injury investigations when required.
