Job summary

Distinctive Living seeks a Medication Aide to support residents at The Fairways community. You will administer medications, assist with ADLs, and coordinate with medical professionals under Health and Wellness leadership.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year in caregiving, and an active HHA certification or CNA license. Supervisory experience and knowledge of MAR and medical terminology are essential.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• At least 1 year of caregiving experience.
• State HHA certification or CNA license required.
• Six months supervisory experience in a health-related field.
• Ability to read physician orders and match to MAR.
• Understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Pass resident medications in accordance with physician orders and MAR.
• Document completion of tasks on a daily basis.
• Document observed changes in condition per local rules and policies.
• Communicate resident needs to other Medication Aides for consistency.
• Participate in meal service, serving, clearing, and cleaning dining areas.
• Supervise staff during shifts.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing trainings as per licensing.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines.
