Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) in Mandan, ND. The role involves resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse, with duties including vitals, medication administration, and psychosocial support.

Position is PRN with variable shifts, serving residents within a 75-mile radius. Requires CMA/CNA certification per state rules and 18+ age. Premium pay and weekend/evening differentials apply; travel to multiple locations is required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• State CMA/CNA certification requirements vary by state; CMA/TMA certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and basic health care under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs and document care and medication outcomes.
• Provide psychosocial support and participate in wellness and recreational programs.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility as trained.
• Support housekeeping and laundry to maintain clean resident areas.
