Position: PRN (as needed)

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) PRN provides assistance and direction to residents with personal care needs and activities of daily living. Responsibilities include medication administration and coordination, vital signs recording, and assisting residents with daily activities.

  1. Obtain and record residents' vital signs and weight.
  2. Administer and document medications following physicians' orders, including oral, topical, suppository medications, and eye and ear drops.
  3. Reorder prescriptions and coordinate with pharmacy providers to ensure residents have their medications.
  4. Observe, record, and report any unexpected or adverse effects from medications.
  5. Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
  6. Answer resident calls for assistance and support their participation in activities and dining.
  7. Assist with light housekeeping and trash removal.
  8. Support the Lifestyles Coordinator in carrying out resident activities.

Requirements:

  • Current CMA certificate in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 1 year of CMA experience preferred but not required.
