Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered, following physician directives.
• Administer medications per nursing standards, policies, procedures, and state requirements.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document oral/topical medications.
• Complete forms, charts, and reports promptly.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and reordering of medications.
• Create a warm, patient, and cheerful environment.
• Participate in facility surveys by government agencies.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Communicate resident information effectively to the nursing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed certified medication aide in Oregon.
• Knowledge of medical abbreviations and medication terms.
• Ability to measure, record, and report vital signs accurately.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Active CPR/BLS certification.
