Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to provide safe, accurate medication administration and compassionate daily care for residents in our Missouri community.

Under supervision of licensed staff, you will ensure proper med administration, monitor residents, assist with daily living activities, and maintain meticulous documentation in a home-like environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a CMA program that meets state requirements.
• Active CMA certification in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations.
• Monitor residents for medication responses and report adverse reactions or concerns promptly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, intake and output as ordered.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
• Support team members by providing assistance as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with tours as requested.
