Job summary

UC Health in Cincinnati is hiring a Certified Medical Technologist II for the Core Lab, on weekend third shifts at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The role performs routine and complex laboratory analyses, identifies problems and develops alternatives, and maintains current lab theory and technique.

You will work independently, uphold quality control, and handle specimens, ensuring safety and compliance with CLIA.

Qualifications

• MT/MLS/MLT ASCP certification or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology.
• Knowledge of specimen requirements and lab terminology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived, moderately complex, and highly complex testing per CLIA.
• Maintains instrument accuracy with calibration and quality checks.
• Accurately analyzes, interprets, and records results.
• Maintains safety, participates in continuing education, and trains staff.
• Assists in problem solving and corrective actions as needed.
