Responsibilities

• Performs and reports routine and complex laboratory analyses using protocols and independent judgment.
• Operates, maintains, and repairs clinical laboratory equipment including preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Keeps current in the field through mandatory competencies and continuing education.
• Performs and records all quality control procedures and evaluates QC results with corrective actions.
• Accessions, triage, and process specimens for testing and transit; evaluate sample acceptability.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
