Roxbury Treatment Center, part of Universal Health Services, invites applications for a full-time Professional Coder and Medical Records Clerk in Shippensburg, PA. The role focuses on chart assembly, coding, and abstracting discharged records to support patient care and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates hold RHIT or CPC certification, a high school diploma, and preferably one year of coding/records experience. Strong accuracy in Excel and 3M encoder usage is a plus.

Qualifications

• RHIT or CPC certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of coding/medical records experience preferred.
• Experience with 3M encoder, Excel and MS4 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and analyze charts; perform coding on chart data.
• Abstract discharged patient records into the system.
• Respond to patients in crisis and take appropriate action.
• Retrieve charts from the floor for processing.
• Assemble charts and verify contents; ensure signatures.
• Manage loose filings and maintain organized records.

Roxbury is currently hiring a full-time Professional Coder and Medical Records Clerk. This is a Monday thru Friday position.

Job Duties and Responsbilities:

• Chart assembly, chart analysism coding.
• Computer abstracting of all discharged patient medical records
• Responds to patients in crisis and acts accordingly
• Retrieving charts from the floor
• Putting them together
• Checking for missing signature
• Handling loose filings

Qualifications

Certified Professional Coder Requirements:

• Registered Health Information technician certification or Certified Professional Coder certification or equivalent is REQUIRED
• High school diploma or equivalent is required, with one year of coding and/or medical records experience preferred.
• Experience with 3M encoder, Excel and MS4 are a plus
