Job summary

Roxbury Treatment Center, a UHS subsidiary, in Shippensburg, PA, is seeking a full-time Professional Coder and Medical Records Clerk. Responsibilities include chart assembly, analysis, coding and abstracting discharged records, with duties spanning crisis response and chart retrieval.

Qualifications include an RHIT or CPC certification, or equivalent, and a high school diploma with coding/medical records experience preferred; experience with 3M encoder, Excel and MS4 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Registered Health Information Technician certification or Certified Professional Coder certification or equivalent is required
• High school diploma or equivalent is required, with one year of coding and/or medical records experience preferred
• Experience with 3M encoder, Excel and MS4 are a plus

Responsibilities

• Chart assembly
• Chart analysis

• Abstracting of discharged patient medical records
• Responds to patients in crisis and acts accordingly
• Retrieving charts from the floor
• Putting them together
• Checking for missing signature
• Handling loose filings
