Job summary

CenterWell is seeking a Medical Coding Coordinator to assign accurate outpatient CPT and ICD-10 codes, provide coding expertise, and review documentation to support compliant coding decisions. This is a fully onsite role, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week at The Villages, Florida.

TB screening may be required for selected candidates. Responsibilities include reviewing records, applying ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, supporting audits, and staying current with coding updates and regulatory

Qualifications

• Must hold at least one certification: CCS, CRC, or CPC.
• Experience using ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT coding books.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and coding charts.
• Recent graduates with coding experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and related materials to assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Apply ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and other coding systems per official guidelines and company standards.
• Ensure coding is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Analyze and maintain coding-related information in internal databases.
• Respond to internal requests for coding decisions and documentation questions.
• Identify missing or unclear documentation and escalate issues as needed.
• Support audits, quality reviews, and coding validation activities.
• Maintain productivity and quality for assigned coding work.
• Stay current on coding updates and internal process requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support accurate documentation and coding outcomes.
