Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have CCS, CRC, or CPC certification.
• Recent graduates with coding experience encouraged to apply.
• Experience using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS coding books.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records.
• Experience reading, interpreting and coding charts.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Apply ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and other coding systems per guidelines.
• Ensure coding accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze, update, and maintain coding information in databases.
• Clarify internal requests for medical information and coding decisions.
• Identify missing or unclear documentation and escalate issues.
• Support audits, quality reviews, and coding validation activities.
• Maintain productivity and quality for coding work.
• Stay current on coding updates and internal process requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve documentation and coding outcomes.
