Job summary

Jobrapido seeks a Certified Medical Coder with outpatient and ED coding expertise for a remote, 8-week contract. 35 hours/week, schedule Mon–Fri with one weekend day rotation. W2 pay at $35/hr, benefits include weekly pay and health coverage.

Requires 3–5 years outpatient coding, ER/ED coding, and CCS/CCP or AHIMA RHIA/RHIT credentials. Strong coding software knowledge and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of outpatient medical coding experience.
• Emergency Room/ED coding experience required.
• Acute care coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4.
• Understanding of payer and federal billing guidelines.
• Proficient with coding software and general computer skills.

Certified Medical Coder – Outpatient & ED

• Work Arrangement: 100% Remote -
• Job Type: Contract \"
• Duration : 8 weeks
• Job Category: Non-Clinical
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Hours: 35 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Must be comfortable working one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
• Pay Rate : $35/hr on W2

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder with strong Outpatient and Emergency Department (ED) coding experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of outpatient coding experience , including experience coding in an emergency room setting

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of outpatient medical coding experience .
• Emergency Room/ED coding experience required .
• Acute care coding experience.
• Proficiency with 3M Coding Application .
• Knowledge of HDS Coding Application .
• Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4.
• Strong understanding of coding, payer, and federal billing guidelines.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to research and resolve coding issues.
