Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide patient care under the supervision of a medical provider. This role supports clinical and administrative functions, including assisting with medical procedures, maintaining exam rooms, managing patient intake, and ensuring efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.

Essential duties include vital signs, wound care, injections, vaccines, phlebotomy, EKGs, and education.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience in a medical practice setting or externship

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with clinical procedures (vital signs, wound care, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs, splints).
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms and handles patient intake and test results.
• Supports scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and clinic communications.
• Maintains organized workload and delivers courteous service to providers and patients.
• Monitors supplies and inventory; educates patients on medications and health topics.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains regular attendance.
