Job summary

Physicians Regional Medical Group is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support patient care under the supervision of a medical provider. You will assist with clinical procedures, manage patient intake, maintain exam rooms, and ensure smooth clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.

Responsibilities include assisting with vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs, and wound care, as well as administrative tasks like scheduling, referrals, and insurance

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required
• Knowledge of medical terminology and infection control practices beneficial
• Experience with medical record systems and patient data entry preferred
• Ability to work under supervision and deliver accurate patient care and administrative support

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with clinical procedures (vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs) as directed
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms and prepares patients for visits
• Performs patient intake duties, triage calls, and documents medical information
• Manages daily logs and documentation
• Supports administrative duties: pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification
• Maintains organized workload and delivers courteous service to patients and staff
• Monitors clinic supplies and equipment; ensures inventory levels
• Educates patients on medications, diets, and health topics
• Performs other duties and maintains regular attendance
