Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative operations in a busy practice. The CMA will assist with procedures, manage patient intake, maintain exam rooms, and ensure efficient clinic workflows while delivering high-quality patient service.

Requirements include CMA-AAMA or NCMA certification and Basic Life Support, with 0–1 year of experience or completion of an externship.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience in a medical practice setting or externship completion required.
• Proficiency in medical record systems and basic computer applications.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and infection control practices.
• Ability to provide excellent patient service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with clinical procedures (vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs).
• Prepare and clean exam rooms for visits and procedures.
• Handle patient intake, test results, and phone triage.
• Maintain daily logs and documentation.
• Support administrative duties: pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification.
• Educate patients on medications, diets, and health topics.
