Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and clinical teams with patient care and administrative tasks. You will handle patient calls, voicemails, and portal messages, ensure accurate patient records, and maintain documentation in the EHR while upholding HIPAA and OSHA standards.

Experience in medical settings and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred. Some roles may be remote or sit at other sites; PRN benefits apply and compensation is based on hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA rules and regulations required.
• 2 years of experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and clinical teams with patient care.
• Handle patient phone calls and voicemails promptly, professionally.
• Process patient portal and EHR messages within established timeframes.
• Ensure accuracy and proper documentation in the patient's EHR.
• Communicate with the clinical care team as needed.
