Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support a physician office. The role collaborates with a primary care physician to review health records, measure vital signs, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.

The ideal candidate maintains accurate health records, adheres to state guidelines, and provides excellent patient care within the Medical Assisting scope. This position offers competitive pay and benefits across Mercy Health facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Active Medical Assisting certification from a recognized body.
• BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire for some Mercy Health locations).
• One year of medical assistant healthcare experience (preferred).
• Two years of clerical experience in a physician’s office (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and provides excellent customer service.
• Prepares and reviews patient charts for upcoming visits, ensuring records are current.
• Measures vital signs including pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight and height.
• Performs clerical duties such as inventory checks, stock supplies, referrals, and phone coverage.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
