Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the primary care physician at St. Vincent Medical Center Medical Office Building 2. You will review health records, prepare treatment rooms, and ensure accuracy of charts and test results.

The role emphasizes patient-facing care, vital signs, and clerical support within a collaborative clinical team, with opportunities for professional development and continued education.

Qualifications

• Must have active Medical Assisting certification from approved bodies
• BLS certification required or available at hire for locations
• One year of medical assistant experience preferred, not required
• Two years of clerical experience in a physician’s office preferred, not required

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and provides excellent customer service in a respectful manner
• Prepares and reviews patient charts for visits, verifies diagnostic test results and records
• Measures vital signs including pulse, respiration, BP, weight and height
• Performs clerical duties: checking inventory, stocking supplies, tracking referrals, answering phones
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems promptly
• Other duties as assigned
