Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the West Hospital Medical Office Building 1. The role supports the primary care physician, reviews health records, measures vital signs, and prepares exam rooms while ensuring care stays within state guidelines.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, updating charts, coordinating with staff, and handling related clerical duties. Requires CMA certification and a high school diploma; prior clinic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• One year of medical assistant healthcare experience (preferred, not required).
• Two years of clerical experience in a physician’s office (preferred, not required).
• Possesses problem-solving skills, basic computer skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by greeting patients and the community.
• Prepares and reviews patient charts by verifying diagnostic tests and records.
• Measures vital signs such as pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight and height.
• Performs clerical duties like inventory checks, stock supplies, referrals, and phones.
