Job summary

Mercy Primary Care is seeking a Primary Care Patient Advanced Certified Medical Assistant to work under the direction of the primary care operations team. You will collaborate with Mercy Primary Care Providers to deliver safe, timely, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

You will support patients and the clinical team, maintain MA certification, and participate in clinic academy training. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
• Current Medical Assistants moving to Certified Advanced Medical Assistant must complete MA competencies.
• Must actively maintain MA certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) for Hospital Outpatient Departments.

Responsibilities

• Work with Mercy Primary Care Providers to deliver safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care.
• Partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients.
• Perform Advanced Standard Rooming with overall achievement ≥ 90% for the last 6 months, including AWV questionnaires and documentation, thorough Medication Reconciliation, and closing care gaps.
• Contribute to a team environment that adheres to Mercy mission and service standards.
