Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support a physician office team. You will review health records, measure vital signs, prepare treatment rooms, and ensure documentation stays within state guidelines.

You will greet patients, perform clerical duties, and assist with referrals while maintaining compassionate care. Active CMA certification and CPR/BLS are required; prior physician-office experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Active CMA/MA certification from CMA, RMA, CCMA, NRCMA, NCMA or ABR-OE acceptable.
• BLS/CPR required at hire for some locations; preferred prior physician office experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide respectful customer service.
• Prepare and review patient charts, update records for visits.
• Measure vital signs: pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height.
• Perform clerical duties: inventory, referrals, phone coverage.
• Troubleshoot problems and assist with other duties as assigned.
