Job summary

Mercy Health, a faith-based health system, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Kenwood MOHS Surgery location in Cincinnati. The CMA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care, handling chart reviews, vital signs, and room preparation within state guidelines.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, updating medical records, measuring vitals, and performing related clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Active CMA certification from one of the listed associations (required) or ABR-OE acceptable (where allowed)
• BLS certification (required or in place at date of hire)

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and the community in a respectful manner to provide excellent customer service
• Prepare and review patient charts for visits, ensuring all diagnostic tests, hospital reports, and records are up to date
• Measure vital signs (pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height) and document findings
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory checks, stocking supplies, tracking referrals, and answering phones
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly to maintain smooth clinic operations
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the practice leadership
