Job summary

Nash UNC Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant/Customer Service Rep to support patient care and clerical tasks in an on-site urgent care setting. This per diem role includes registering patients, confirming appointments, and coordinating scheduling with clinicians.

You will input orders into the EMR, communicate test results, and assist with follow-up scheduling while providing courteous, culturally competent service.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA), AMT RMA, NHA CCMA or NCCMA.
• BLS certification.
• 2 years of experience in Healthcare/clinical support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules clinical visits with patients and staff.
• Inputs clinical orders into the EMR scheduling system and manages queues.
• Interviews patients and records information into EMR scheduling module.
• Arranges follow-up appointments and communicates results to patients.
• Assists in clerical duties such as registering patients and routing mail.
