Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA or NCC NCMA)
• BLS
• 2 years in the Healthcare/Medical - Certified Medical Technician (CMT)

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients and clinical staff to coordinate and schedule clinical visits.
• Reviews and interprets incoming clinical orders delivered by phone and fax. Inputs orders into EMR scheduling system.
• Interviews patients and documents information into EMR scheduling system.
• Coordinates follow-up appointments.
• Communicates with patients in a timely and effective manner regarding their care.
• Notifies patients of results and appointments.
• Patiently and clearly explains information using cultural competency and active listening.
