Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA or NCC NCMA).
• BLS certification is required.
• 2 years in the Healthcare/Medical field (Certified Medical Technician CMT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients and clinical staff to coordinate and schedule clinical visits across a range of clinical services.
• Reviews and interprets incoming clinical orders delivered by phone and fax. Inputs orders into EMR scheduling system. Reviews automated work queues to guide and prioritize optimization.
• Interviews patients and documents information into EMR scheduling system. Reviews records for accuracy.
• Coordinates follow-up appointments.
• Communicates with patients in a timely and effective manner regarding their care. Notifies patients of results and appointments.
