• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school, or at least 1 year of verifiable MA experience in a patient care setting.
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Maintains MA certifications (CCMA, CMA, CMAC, NCMA, NRCMA, NRCAMA, RMA, ARMA) or equivalent per agency.

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists physician or APP during examinations and procedures.
• Documents patient data, treatments, and education per policies.
• Schedules specialty testing and physician consultations as needed.
• Manages calls and processes orders in the EMR under provider direction.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent

Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school

Verifiable work experience as Medical Assistant (1 year) in patient care setting
