The position requires a Medical Assistant credential from an approved program, plus current BLS, CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification. High school diploma or equivalent is required, with experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or 5 years of verifiable applicable work experience in patient care setting).
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians and nurses in ambulatory care settings.
• Gathers patient data through interviews and observations.
• Performs routine treatments and administers basic medications as directed.
• Documents patient data and education according to policy.
• Schedules specialty testing and referrals with physician coordination.
