You will gather patient data, assist with exams, document data, and support scheduling and testing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school or 1 year MA experience.
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Certifications/registrations from CCMA, CMA, CMAC, NCMA, NRCMA/NRCAMA, RMA (AMT/ARMA/AAH) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to the Assistant Nurse Manager, Nursing Operations Manager, or Practice Manager for operational issues.
• Embraces quality initiatives and clinical outcome process improvement activities.
• Supports professional communication with patients and families.
• Gathers patient data through interview and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination and assists physician or APP.
• Documents patient data, treatments, and education per policies.
• Enters medication, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging orders into the EMR under provider direction.
