Responsibilities

• Accountable to managers for operational issues and quality initiatives.
• Gather patient data through interview and observation.
• Assist patients and families with preparation for examination and physician/APP during procedures.
• Document patient data, treatments, and education per policies.
• Process calls professionally and manage orders in the EMR under provider direction.
• Maintain infection control standards and attendance in accordance with policy.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school

One year of verifiable Medical Assistant experience in patient care (in lieu of training)

BLS Healthcare Provider Certification

CCMA (NHA)

CMA (AAMA)
