Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Practice Operations team. You will support pre-visit planning, review records, and help coordinate patient care to ensure timely, high‑quality visits.

The role requires current MA certification, a high school diploma (or equivalent), and preferably two years of experience in healthcare. You'll perform vital signs, injections within state guidelines, maintain exam rooms and assist the care

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; MA program preferred.
• Current certification as Medical Assistant required.
• Two years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-visit planning by reviewing patient records and updating needed services.
• Pre-charts all value-based pieces up to five days prior to appointment.
• Prepare patients for exam including vitals, history, and meds; escort to exam room.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and supplies; assist with injections or immunizations.
• Coordinate with providers and care team regarding discharge, labs, and follow-up visits.
• Participate in department meetings and process improvement activities.
• Dispose of waste per protocol and maintain vaccine temperature logs.
