Job summary

ADVOCARE, LLC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The CMA provides direct patient care and supports providers through clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include recording histories, vitals, room prep, EMR documentation, scheduling, and ensuring HIPAA compliance while delivering compassionate patient service.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of medical procedures, terminology, and administrative functions.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems with excellent verbal and written communication.
• High attention to detail and organizational ability.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist during exams and procedures.
• Perform point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and lab preparation.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and complete documentation.
• Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, verifying insurance, scheduling, and processing referrals.
• Maintain medical supply inventory and perform equipment upkeep.
• Prepare and disinfect examination and treatment rooms.
• Provide patient education and transmit physician instructions.
• Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
