The position involves rooming patients, collecting vitals, assisting with procedures, phlebotomy, administering medications, and coordinating tests and referrals in a full-time, onsite setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program is preferred but not required.
• Certification in Medical Assisting or relevant credentials preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs rooming and intake, including vitals and visit data.
• Collects patient and family data including medical and social history.
• Reviews medication lists, allergies, and pharmacy preferences.
• Assists providers during treatments and exams.
• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens.
• Administers medications under provider direction.
• Performs tests (e.g., EKG, vision) under supervision.
• Maintains treatment rooms with supplies and equipment.
• Counsel patients with post-visit instructions and education materials.
• Schedules tests, referrals, and supports registration and check-in/out.
