Location: 8020 Liberty Way, West Chester, OH 45069 (Conveniently located near I-75!)
Work Schedule
- Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly
- Day shifts
- Rotating Saturday schedule
Job Requirements
- Completion of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program in healthcare (clinical experience in a physician practice or related field preferred)
- Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is required (RMA through AMT, NCCT, or NHA; or CMA through AAMA)
- Must maintain active certification/registration status
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Proficiency in medical office workflows, particularly clerical and front-office tasks
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to assess consequences and outcomes
- Familiarity with EMR systems, practice management software, and medical coding/billing is highly encouraged
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct patient rooming procedures for adult and pediatric primary care, including clinical procedures, immunizations, venipuncture, and point-of-care testing
- Follow established protocols for scheduling, clinical procedures, and proper use of medical equipment
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of clinical calls and patient rooming details, including order entry, prescription processing, pharmacy updates, and workflow completion
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries via phone and MyChart, escalating concerns as necessary
- Maintain clinical competency through orientation and annual assessments
- Stay informed on population health principles, wellness, prevention, and chronic disease management
- Actively participate in gap-closure strategies, including pre-visit planning, daily huddles, and physician collaboration
- Demonstrate proficiency in preventive medicine guidelines, including age-based wellness visits, vital assessments, laboratory work, immunizations, screenings, and patient education
- Identify and communicate with providers regarding patient wellness, chronic disease management, and utilization concerns
- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities such as Lunch & Learns and training sessions
- Support patients along the continuum of care by collaborating with behavioral health specialists, complex care nurses, social workers, and community health workers
- Provide basic community resource referrals and patient education on wellness and chronic disease management.
