Job summary

UNC Health Care's NC Urology Raleigh is seeking a Medical Assistant II, Certified to join our outpatient team. You will support providers with rooming, vitals, specimen collection, phlebotomy, and routine administrative tasks in a 40-hour workweek.

This role requires at least one year of certified Medical Assistant experience, BLS certification, and MA certification from AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NRCMA/NCMA. Wage range is $18.84–$26.77 per hour, onsite day shift.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program is strongly preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• MA certification from AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NRCMA, or NCMA is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs rooming and intake, records vitals and reason for visit.
• Collects patient data, med history and allergies; assists during procedures.
• Assists with phlebotomy, specimen collection, and medications under supervision.
• Maintains exam rooms, inventories supplies, and supports registration/check-in.
• Answers phone calls and supports in-basket under provider oversight.
