Job summary

Tidelands Health in Myrtle Beach is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant II to join our medical practice. You will support physicians and nurses, perform routine patient care, take vital signs, assist with procedures, draw blood, and coordinate patient services.

Responsibilities include preparing medications with physician authorization, performing EKGs, using CPR when required, and educating patients on office policies and home care.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
• Proficient computer skills for data entry and records.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Phlebotomy skills or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients to exam rooms and prepare them for exams.
• Take and document vital signs and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications with physician’s authorization.
• Perform EKGs and use CPR skills when required.
• Draw blood and provide patient education on policies, medications, and disease management.
• Stock exam rooms, clean rooms and instruments, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance in all documentation and interactions.
