Job summary

Tidelands Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. You will perform routine patient care, assist physicians, and support administrative duties in a busy medical practice. Strong patient communication and accurate documentation are essential.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years in a customer-facing healthcare role. Certification as CMA is required and CPR/AED training will be completed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of related customer facing experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with basic software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients to exam rooms and prepare them for exams.
• Perform and document vital signs.
• Assist with medical procedures and provide patient education.
• Prepare and administer medications with physician authorization; perform EKGs.
• Use CPR as needed and ensure accurate documentation.
• Draw blood and handle specimen collection.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy.
• Stock exam rooms and maintain clean, organized work areas.
