Job summary

Tidelands Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to join a busy clinic team. You will support clinicians with patient care, vital signs, EKGs, medication administration under physician supervision, and patient education while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

The role requires a CMA or equivalent certification and at least two years of healthcare-facing experience, with CPR/BLS required within 30 days of hire. Strong attention to detail and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of related customer facing experience, preferably in healthcare.
• CPR/Basic Life Support may be required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients to exam rooms and prepare for exams.
• Perform vital signs and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications with physician's authorization; perform EKGs.
• Maintain patient education on office policies, medications, and disease management.
• Stock and clean exam rooms and dispose of biohazard waste per OSHA.
