Job summary

Tidelands Health in Murrells Inlet, SC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our health system team. The role supports exam preparation, vitals, and direct patient care within a clinic setting.

You will assist with procedures, draw blood, administer medications with physician authorization, perform EKGs, and help educate patients on medications and home care while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
• At least 1 year of related customer facing experience Required.
• Healthcare experience Preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills and experience

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients to exam rooms and prepare for exams.
• Perform and document vital signs.
• Assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications with physician's authorization.
• Perform EKGs.
• Use CPR skills when required.
• Draw blood.
• Provide patient education on office policies, medications, home treatments and diet.
• Stock exam rooms and clean rooms and instruments.
• Dispose of biohazard waste per OSHA standards.
• Maintain accurate, legal and ethical documentation and HIPAA compliance.
