Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program is strongly preferred but not required.
• Requires Medical Assistant certification by AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NRCMA/NCMA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect vital signs, height, weight, and reason for visit.
• Collect patient and family data, including medical and social history.
• Review medication list and allergies.
• Assist provider during treatments and examinations.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens.
• Administer medications under provider direction.
• Perform tests (e.g., EKG, eye exams) as directed.
• Maintain exam/treatment rooms and inventories.
• Provide after-visit and self-care instructions to patients.
