Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES preferred but not required.
• Medical Assistant certification from AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NRCMA/NCMA required or pursued.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform rooming/intake, vital signs, and collect patient data.
• Review medication list and allergies; coordinate with provider.
• Assist during exams and procedures; may collect specimens and perform phlebotomy.
• Administer medications under provider direction and assist with tests (EKG, eye exams).
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked and ready; maintain instruments and supplies.
• Handle patient registration, scheduling, and referrals; answer clinic calls.
