Job summary

AHN is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time pediatric role at HV Pediatrics Chippewa, with potential work at other AHN pediatric locations in the Beaver Falls area. On-site schedule is Mon-Fri 8-5, Sat 8-1, with some evenings 10-7 on rotation.

You will collect vital signs, history, specimens; perform basic lab tests; administer injections and meds as directed, and handle related clerical duties such as records and referrals.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA) required.
• CPR Certification required.
• Computer experience required.
• Successful completion of clearances within 90 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Collect vital signs and patient history.
• Collect specimens and perform basic laboratory tests.
• Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider.
• Administrative duties: order supplies, maintain records, obtain referrals/authorizations, schedule appointments.

Office locations: HV Pediatrics Chippewa; will work in other HVP locations as needed for staffing (Chippewa/Hopewell/Center-Monaca).

Work hours: Regular office hours Mon-Fri 8-5p; Sat 8-1pm and evenings 10-7pm (both scheduled on rotation).

Required

• High School graduate or equivalent. Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA), CPR Certification, Computer experience, Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred

• Medical Assistant diploma or degree program.
• Minimum of one year medical assisting experience.
