Job summary

Heritage-Valley-Health-System in Beaver Falls seeks a Medical Assistant for day-time, full-time work in HV Chippewa Internal Medicine.

You will collect vital signs, patient history, specimens, injections and medications as directed by the provider, and perform related clinical tasks. Administrative duties include scheduling, referrals, authorizations and maintaining medical records.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• CPR Certification.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances within 90 days of commencing employment.
• Computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Collects vital signs and patient history.

• Administers injections and medications as directed by provider.
• Administrative duties: ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.

Office Location: HV Chippewa Internal Medicine
Work Hours: Primarily Daylight hours, Monday through Friday

Collects vital signs and patient history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.

Required

High School graduate or equivalent. CPR Certification. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment. Computer experience.

Preferred

Medical Assistant diploma or degree program. Minimum of one year medical assisting experience. Proficient in venipuncture.
