Job summary

Heritage-Valley-Health-System in Beaver, PA is hiring full-time Medical Assistants with a bonus of up to $1,000. Office location: Heart and Vascular Center Electrophysiology Department, 605 Sharon Road Beaver, PA 15009.

Work hours are Monday–Friday daytime with no weekends or holidays. You will room patients, take vital signs, review medication lists and medical/social histories, collect specimens and perform basic lab tests, administer injections and medications as directed by the provider.

Qualifications

• High School grad or equivalent is required.
• Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA) required.
• CPR Certification required.
• Must complete requested background clearances within 90 days of starting employment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, measure vital signs, review medical/social history, and review medication lists.
• Collect specimens and perform basic laboratory tests; administer injections and medications per provider directions.
• Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations, and scheduling appointments.

REQUIRED

High School graduate or equivalent. Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA), CPR Certification, Computer experience, Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

PREFERRED

Medical Assistant diploma or degree program. Minimum of one year medical assisting experience. Proficient in venipuncture.
