Office locations: HV Pediatrics Chippewa; will work in other HVP locations as needed for staffing (Chippewa/Hopewell/Center-Monaca).
Work hours: Regular office hours Mon-Fri 8-5p; Sat 8-1pm and evenings 10-7pm (both scheduled on rotation).
Collects vital signs and patient history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.
Required
High School graduate or equivalent. Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA), CPR Certification, Computer experience, Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Preferred
Medical Assistant diploma or degree program. Minimum of one year medical assisting experience.
