Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our fast-paced care team in Illinois. The CMA will work to the top of their scope to deliver excellent patient care across all ages, supporting medical and nursing staff in examinations and treatments.

The role includes rooming patients, collecting medical histories, performing both administrative and clinical duties, and coordinating care with providers.

Qualifications

• CMA and/or related medical assisting certifications required.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS CPR certification preferred or within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect information related to chief complaint and histories.
• Perform administrative duties including check-in/check-out, scheduling, and benefits verification.
• Assist with prescription processing, prior authorizations, referrals, and EMR documentation.
• Perform clinical procedures including TB testing, immunizations, wound care, and basic in-office procedures.
• Obtain vital signs and assist with office procedures and DME documentation.

Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) - NAHP

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - NHA
