Carle Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Medical Assistant to support routine administrative and patient care duties in our Illinois medical practice. The role assists medical and nursing staff with examinations and treatments while helping the office run smoothly.

Qualifications

Must have CMA/RMA/CCMA or equivalent certification from recognized bodies (ARMA, AAH, NCCT, AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NHA, etc.).
BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required.
High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Room patients and collect information on chief complaint, history, and medications reconciliation.
Handle telephone communications with patients, families, pharmacies, and facilities.
Complete patient check-in/check-out and document in EMR.
Obtain prior authorizations and verify insurance benefits.
Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals/diagnostic testing.
Assist with procedures and basic in-office tasks as directed by providers.
