Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, Ohio is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work closely with the primary care physician, delivering high-quality patient care within the medical assisting scope and state guidelines.

You will review and update health records, measure vital signs, prepare treatment rooms, greet patients, and support clerical duties to ensure efficient visits; BLS certification and CMA/MA credentials are required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Active Medical Assisting certification from CMA/RMA/CCMA or equivalent.
• BLS Basic Life Support required before independent patient care where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide courteous, professional service.
• Review and update health records and verify diagnostic results.
• Measure vital signs and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory, referrals tracking, and answering phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
